I have taken the past several months to tour wedding venues in North Alabama. On my list of “must see” wedding venues was: The Lumpkin House. Located in Albertville, Alabama, The Lumpkin House is located between Huntsville and Birmingham. This makes for a great central location for couples (and guests) coming from either city.
The Lumpkin House is the perfect blend of historic Southern charm and modern elegance. From the white columns of the original house to the luxurious new ceremony and reception space, this venue is jaw-dropping. The sweet owners of the Lumpkin House, Madison and Warren, have such a beautiful vision for this space. They acquired this property in 2020 and have since renovated it into this luxurious wedding and event space.
One of the most breathtaking features of The Lumpkin House is the stunning outdoor ceremony space. Couples can choose to have their ceremony under the outdoor pavilion located on the main event lawn. Or they can choose to have it underneath the large tree in the center of the lawn. It’s a dream setting for couples who want that “gardenesque” wedding vibe!
The Lumpkin House also offers an indoor ceremony space for couples! This is perfect for those who prefer indoors or in cases of unexpected weather. Whether indoors or out, you seriously can not go wrong with having your wedding here.
What a wedding looks like at the Lumpkin House
I had the joy of attending a French garden inspired styled shoot last week at the Lumpkin House. The shoot was hosted by Katelyn Masters Photography, and was so neat to see this venue set up as it would be on a real-life wedding day. It could not have been a more perfect setting for this luxurious styled shoot. As a wedding photographer, I love that this venue offers many backdrops for photos.
No French garden celebration would be complete without an elegant cake — and this one by Cakes By Mel was a showstopper. The three-tiered confection was adorned with florals and delicate sugar blooms that mirrored the real flowers used throughout the shoot. Placed on a vintage table beneath the archway, the cake looked almost too beautiful to eat (almost!).
Final Thoughts
If you are a bride and groom getting married in North Alabama and are looking for a luxurious wedding venue, you must add The Lumpkin House to your “must see” wedding venues. As wedding photographer in Huntsville, I adore The Lumpkin House!
