Oh my goodness, what a dream shoot!! On this beautiful February day, I met Mattie and Nicholas for their engagement session at Infinity Event Venue in Section, Alabama. This luxury wedding venue, about one hour east of Huntsville, is known for its jaw-dropping views of Lake Guntersville. When we were discussing locations prior to their engagement shoot, Mattie & Nicholas said that they wanted to choose Infinity Event Venue because they had fallen in love with it’s stunning views. I am so glad they did because this was a photographer’s dream!
Fun fact: a few days before their engagement session, we were having some cold and dreary Alabama weather. But on the day of the shoot, we were so blessed to have the most beautiful, warm sunshine! We even had a little laugh about how rare it is to get such nice weather in February in Alabama!
Mattie & Nicholas are two of the sweetest humans! I had a blast documenting their love story & really getting to know them as a couple. In planning for their engagement session, Mattie said how important it was for them to feel comfortable & authentic! She wanted her photos to represent who she and Nicholas were as a couple and I think mission accomplished! 🥰
Golden Hour at Infinity Event Venue
This was my favorite part of the session: golden hour on the cliffs. offers some of the most stunning views in North Alabama! With the rocks and cliffs overlooking Guntersville Lake, you truly cannot beat the scenery!
I loved how both Mattie and Nicholas’ outfits matched the vibe and location of their photos! I always recommend to my couples to bring two outfits, one fancy, one casual fun! And Mattie understood the assignment! For her first outfit, she wore the cutest pink ruffle skirt paired with a white sweater and white cowgirl boots! For her second outfit, Mattie was giving European vibes. She had the cutest little scarf tied around her as a belt. It was the perfect outfit for sunset photos! Both of their outfits matched the venue’s vibe and I loved it!
