A vintage-inspired wedding styled shoot at The Venue at Oak Place in Huntsville, Alabama… what a dream! I took part in this styled shoot back in June. WOW, it was breathtaking. Oak Place is one of my favorite wedding venues in our area! Built in 1840 by Huntsville architect George Steele, Oak Place has such a rich history in Huntsville. Oak Place stood and served the Huntsville community throughout the Civil War and Spanish American War. In 1960, the East Huntsville Baptist Church recognized the value of this architectural gem and purchased the property. The year 2023 marked a beautiful new chapter in Oak Place’s storied history. After undergoing restoration that honored both past and present, Oak Place emerged as a luxurious wedding and event venue. It seamlessly bridges the past and present. Every couple who chooses this venue for their wedding becomes part of its continuing story.

As a wedding photographer I love that Oak Place offers endless inspiration. The tall ceilings, split level design, and natural light, make Oak Place a perfect venue for an elevated wedding. This styled shoot perfectly demonstrated the venue’s versatility. It proved once again why this venue remains one of Huntsville’s most sought-after wedding destinations.
The floral design for this shoot was intentionally classic and timeless. Crisp white blooms brought a fresh, refined touch to the scene. They perfectly complemented the stately columns, intricate moldings, and historic charm of the house. The choice of all-white florals allowed the architecture and vintage details to shine through.
