Anna and Nate’s engagement session in Warrior, Alabama will live rent free in my mind for years to come! Oh my goodness, we could not have asked for a more perfect day! I had an absolute blast with these two cuties!! We were blessed with beautiful weather and no rain – which if you live in North Alabama during this Spring season, you know is a blessing. The three of us were praying for beautiful weather for this day and almost postponed our session (again) due to rain. But the sun shown!! 👏🏼 We were so thankful!
When Anna first mentioned that they wanted to take their engagement photos on Nate’s grandfather’s land just outside of Warrior, I knew it was going to be something special. This land isn’t just a pretty backdrop—it’s part of their story. And that made every moment of this engagement session feel deeply personal. Nestled just thirty minutes from Birmingham, this property is a peaceful slice of Alabama countryside. Rolling hills, tall grass swaying in the breeze, and the kind of quiet that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. But my favorite part? The pond. A place that holds countless memories and meaning for Anna and Nate.
As we walked down to the water, Anna shared how often the two of them come here just to be. To unplug, to breathe, to sit side by side and talk about their dreams, their future, their family, and their faith. It’s their quiet space. The place where life slows down enough to have the conversations that really matter. She told me how they come here after work with their dog to fish and unwind. How special that we got to take their engagement photos at this sentimental spot?! 🥹
In preparing for their engagement session, Anna told me all of these things and wanted to include their favorite place and pass times into their engagemet photos. I love that so much! So on the day of the shoot, Anna had their cute picnic setup, fishing poles, and favorite music playing on their portable bluetooth. It was perfect!
Towards the end of the session, Anna & Nate decided to sit back and enjoy a bottle of soda on the back of their pickup truck! It was the cutest thing ever! AND as a sweet surprise, they had brought a third soda—for me! And not just any soda… a bottle of Dr. Pepper, which they knew is my absolute favorite. I was so genuinely touched by that small and thoughtful gesture. That little tailgate moment is my favorite memory from their session. Just two people in love, sipping soda, watching the sunset on land that means the world to them.
Anna & Nate, I had an absolute blast with y’all! You two are the sweetest ever! I truly cannot wait to capture your wedding day in September! Its going to be the best and most love filled day!
