Oh my goodness, where do I begin with these two! Brandon reached out to me a few months ago with an idea for a lakeside proposal at City Harbor in Guntersville, Alabama! This location had special meaning for Sherrie & Brandon as it was the spot of their very first date.
The plan:
The plan was in place for this surprise proposal and now it was time to capture the moment! It was the sunniest, most beautiful November day on the lake as Brandon and Sherrie walked hand in hand along the pier at City Harbor. Sweet sherrie thought that that the two of them were just going to eat lunch at Another Broken Egg Cafe and then walk along the pier. Brando had other ideas!
The lakeside proposal:
When they had walked to very end of the pier, Brandon turned around to face Sherrie, knelt down on one knee, and asked the love of his life to be his “forever.” 💍 Sherrie was completely surprised and immediately said, “YES!” My camera was just a clicking away. I felt like their personal paparazzi!
After a few moments, I came out of my hiding spot and excitedly hugged the happy couple! They were both over the moon with joy and it was so contagious!
We then spent the rest of our time together walking around City Harbor & capturing the most joyful photos! This session was right at the beginning of the holiday season so City Harbor was decorated so beautifully! All of the festive Christmas trees & lights made for such beautiful backdrops for these photos.
I had an absolute blast with Brandon and Sherrie and it was a day we will never forget!

Sherrie & Brandon’s are tying the knot this June at Tune Farms. I have the joy of capturing their “Best Day Ever!” 🩵 I cannot wait!
