They say time flies when you are having fun and I think Marisa, Connor, and I can definitely confirm that! Marisa and Connor’s engagement session at City Harbor in Guntersville was so chill and fun! I had a blast getting to know this couple better and talk about all things wedding! Marisa and Connor are such a sweet and down to earth couple. When planning their engagement session, Marisa told me that City Harbor is one of their favorite date night spots. So obviously we know that it would be the perfect spot for their engagement session!
City Harbor is known for its wide variety of restaurants with a view. My favorite eatery along the pier is La Esquina Cocina. Inside the restaurant, there are floor to ceiling windows that provide an outstanding view of Lake Guntersville. As a photographer who loves natural light, I am a huge fan of these windows. With the painted white walls, gorgeous bar area, and Edison lights hanging from the ceiling, I knew La Esquina Cocina was the perfect spot to capture Marisa and Connor’s date night vibe.
The Pier at City Harbor
After the restaurant, we headed outside to walk along the pier. At the end of the docks, there are swings overlooking the lake and a garden area with trees. These trees provided such a gorgeous glow to the backdrop of our photos. With Marisa white flowy dress, we had to take some cute twirling photos! Marisa and Connor then decided to do an outfit change for the second half of their engagement session. Because their engagement session was in October, they decided to change into outfits with Fall colors. I loved that! We walked to the front of City Harbor and stopped along the boat docks. It was the perfect spot to watch the sunset!
I love engagement sessions that feel relaxed and tell the story of the couple. This entire afternoon was so sweet, chill, and full of love! Marisa and Connor are getting married at Guntersville Lodge in January of next year and I cannot wait! I know it is going to be the most beautiful day!
