I don’t think it’s possible to fit my favorite photos from this engagement session into one blog post! BreAnna and Trey’s engagement session took place in downtown Huntsville. When BreAnna and I were discussing the vision of her engagement photos, she mentioned that she wanted a downtown vintage aesthetic. Downtown Huntsville has a variety of backdrops including First United Methodist Church with the blue painted door, the Huntsville Times building, and the steps of the First National Bank. I knew that with its variety of backdrops, downtown Huntsville would be the perfect location for their engagement.
This engagement session is extra special to me! BreAnna and Trey both go to my church and are among my closest friends. I have had a front row seat at watching their relationship grow over the past several years. Now I get to be a part of telling this next chapter of their love story. It truly is the sweetest!🥹🤍
After church on a warm October Sunday afternoon, we all three headed to downtown Huntsville. Starting at the First United Methodist Church, we had to take a few photos at the blue door. I mean it’s iconic! Side note, if you have an engagement session with me in downtown Huntsville, there’s a good chance we will be stopping at the blue doors. 😉 We then walked all over the downtown area, stopping at all of my favorite locations. (BreAnna and Trey are such troopers because we definitely got our exercise in!)
One stop we had to make was at The Hotel Jefferson. BreAnna had requested a shot of her and Trey inside an elevator. These photos became some of our favorite from the whole day!
For their two outfits, BreAnna and Trey chose one dressy outfit to start with and one more casual attire to end the evening. We ended the session on the rooftop overlooking the church where we started! As a fun prompt to end the shoot, I gave them each a turn to use my film camera. They had so much fun taking photos of each other and I think that was one of our favorite prompts of the day.
As a reward to end their engagement session, we all headed to “I Love Sushi” for dinner! It truly was the best day ever with this sweet couple!
After I delivered their photo gallery, I received the sweetest review! BreAnna wrote: “Miranda is one of the most talented individuals. Not only is her photography and editing skills outstanding, she is also the most FUN and sweet person to be around. Time flies by when she is taking your pictures! She truly goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and adds so many special touches to your entire experience! Could not recommend her more!” That made my day! 🥹
BreAnna and Trey, I cannot wait to capture your wedding day in December! You two are so special and I know your day it is going to be the “Best Day Ever!”
When you give your couple your film camera…🥹
Aren’t they the cutest?!
